Whats Up?

    So today we went to an old Roman theater and it was awesome... we went to one a couple days ago but that one was not very complete it barely had the walls.  This one was very whole meaning it had most of the marble columns and the big statue of some Roman god but the Roman God was found fragment by fragment and is now a whole statue which if you think about it that is pretty amazing.  At the beginning we watched a film of what they use to use the old theater for and the really hard times it had been through.  At one time it was used to fight and apparently the audience found that great entertainment* then at another time it had a village inside of it and then it was used for what we think a theater should be used for**... PERFORMANCES!!!👍  (we had an audio guide) At one point my  audio guide talked about in one performance they actually had a real live fire and they burned and actor in front of the audience and the burning had to to with the play but they made it real just for the audiences amusement!!😬.

*i don't but i guess that did not know.  i mean seriously watching people get killed is NOT good entertainment but then again they did not even know what toothpaste was of calcium!

  Right before we went to the old Roman theater we went to a museum that was on the same ticket as the theater.  (so we went to the old theater got the ticket and then went to the museum across the street first because it was 11:00 and the museum closed at 12:30 and the museum was right across the street so we decided we better go to the museum first.  At the museum we got to have a free audio guide and it talked about how the old museum used to be and old ranch house and stuff like that.  

  After the theater and the museum we got in the car and drove to a gorge that was free.  How it worked was there was a windy road that we road on and at a good point there would be a viewing point where you could look out.

Todays Activities

TODAY:

For starters i think by next week i will run out of titles for my blog posts😂.  Anyway today we went to a cave like spot and it was 56ºf.  Then there was lots of walls and there would be projectors everywhere and the images would project on these walls.  It was very cool!👍  There where 2 short films that where each projected on the walls... One of the films was about 3 very well known painters.  The next film was about fish and there would be fish all along the walls and in this room you did not sit, there where benches, but you could walk anywhere you like and it would project on the ceiling, floor, and walls.  There was also a theater where one sort film was playing and it was about a guy who got staged in the back by a statue and then became blind.  (it was not true) After the place that projected films we got back in the car and rode to the top of a mountain and took some pictures of the place we went to yesterday. (i will talk about yesterday later in the text).

YESTERDAY:

Yesterday we went to a old fortress but this fortress unlike the other ones is not full in the building part it is missing one side and all of the floors.  In the other parts it had fields with all of the weapons they used to protect their fortress.  We had an audio guide that told us what everything was and you could climb up to the top of the wall.

Climbing Up The Wall: 

To climb up the wall there where 2 staircases that you could chose from 1 was a little more steep and hard.  The other one was a little easier.  My dad took the harder staircase which me and my mom where surprised because both of his nees have been hurting really badly.  My mom took the slightly easier staircase because her shoulder has been bothering her.  I took the slightly easier staircase because of a little accident i had (i will tell you about it later).

Later Today:

Before we came back to our B+B we went to an olive oil place and we drove by it the first time and the gate was closed and the second time we by it the gate was open so we went in.  The woman said that they where not aloud to have guests at their place in the crushing season because the sound it too loud!  She told us the gate was open because her sister had just gone out and we drove by it right when it was open.  She told us she did not have a lot of time but she would tell us about the olives and the oil and about what she did an how to do it.  She also told us that her business was a family business and she worked with her parents and her sister.  She gave us 15-20 minutes of her time but she had to keep going back to the room where they where grinding to supervise the process.  We bought three things because we thought it was sweet that she gave us a lot of time.  

My Accident:

At the bottom of the building part it is a large hill/mountain and it is very rocky.  And i tripped on a rock and kind of twisted and it hurt my back so i was in a lot of pain.

Hey guys i know its not normal for me to write 2 days in a row but i am because i am bored!  So i just wanted to catch you up.  By the way i would call these posts "Catching Up" but that name is already taken on one of my other posts, so i name these "[No tittle]".  Anyway i just wanted to say on my last post lots of people* have been complaining that the link was not working... well great news i got it working, now it sends you straight to google maps and the area surrounded by red is where i am.

About Where We Are Staying

We are staying in a sort of B+B but it is like little houses all lined up.  Each little cottage has a number on the top and we are #1. Yay!  anyway each cottage has the following: ( each cottage has the same things on the same floors but not in the same place )

Main Floor:
- Kitchen
- cleaning closet
- living space (with TV)
- table

1st Floor:
- toilet
- bathroom (w/ shower and sink)
- 1st bedroom

2nd Floor:
- my bedroom (this bedroom is like a loft)

so that is the hole house... there is 1 set of keys that i get to hold.  On the keys there is a clicker for the driveways gate and a key for our front door.

Volly-Ball

so as most of you know i started playing volly-ball and i really like it... so today i had practice* and when we got there my coach told my mom that the people who lock and unlock the building where on strike (it was not a huge surprise since the french are always putting on some sort of strike)

     sorry that i have not been posting in a wile i have just been really busy!

     so any way i hope to post soon a my coach told my mom that a should have practice tomorrow so that keep our fingers crossed!

Update:
So the update right now is I have made tons of friends at school I am becoming really good at French and I walk home with one of my friends!

A French School

   So as most of you know I started a new school called Saint Taresse (I am not sure that's how you spell it). Anyway I met 7 girls and they don't speak English! Anyway I am a little bit good at French so we can talk about something's.  Anyway today was my second day of school.  But school starts at 8:45am-4:00pm. Also on Wednesdays it is a half day. Also after every six weeks we have two weeks off.  Me and my friends made up this: Les garçons * (the boys *) {* means: crazy, but the hand jester crazy}

Homework
   Also we have been having homework every night! I have never gone to a school where you get homework the first night!

The School
   The school is awesome my teacher is really nice and silly.  If I don't understand he translates it into English, the only thing that could be better about him is off he were to be a girl.

Another Post

Catching Up, Part Two

Catching up

When I last talked to you I talked about Versailles but that was in France.  Since then I have been to Germany and now I am in Austria.  In Germany we went to a lot of places.  We took the train to one city and my mom had chosen the hotel (not one of her better choices) there was a "Candy Bar" (not actually candy)😁.  Then we took a train to some other towns.  Finally we took a train to a town that we would pick up our car.  Mercedes put us in a really nice ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 star) hotel.  Then we picked up our new car! I love love love it!  Anyway then today we went in an ice cave!  I will post pictures soon (I am doing this on my phone so I can't post pictures).  Then yesterday we went Ina sound of music tour.  It was really fun and we went on the tour with another family from California and they had 3 girls one was like 5, one was 10, and one was 11!  Funny story to go along with the 11 year old!  Her birthday is May 24, 2004!  The same day as mine!  She was born at 5:30pm and I was born at 3:15pm!  Anyway we have a ton in common and we email now.  I would post a pic of her but she asked me not to do when yall come and visit I will show you!  Also will talk about the sound of Music tour on my next post.

Versailles was a huge palace and really pretty!
we saw a really cool fountain that played music!
there was also a clock that knows the planets position the moons position and the time and date and it still works today and all they have to do is rewind it every 40 days!

Hello so i know u guys have been wating a while for this moment but it has come so here comes the pictures!

First Couple Days in France

so France is, well it's interesting.  I mean it's totally different than the U.S. different   Culture, language, ect…


On our first whole day here we went to go visit the  Eiffel Tower, it was fun and pretty!



 Just so you will now I will add the photos later because I'm doing this on my phone so when I am on my mom's computer I will add the photos👍🏻


So I just hope that u all will come and visit me and I will add more tomorrow👍🏻

At the Bed and Breakfast

we are at the bed and breakfast and my mom wanted to take a shower but all the stay comes with is one hand towel.  Later my mom asked the woman who owned the bed and breakfast if she could have a flannel (the one to keep you warm in bed), and it turned out that a flannel in London is a wash cloth so my mom ended up taking a shower with a hand towel and a flannel!!!!!*  Also we just herd that our train for tomorrow might not come but so far it is on time so i am praying it will be one time!

Cruise to Europe and First Impression on London

I just got of the cruise it was really fun and I even met a new friend named Samantha but she goes by Samie.  Now I have taken a taxi to London, we are staying at something like a B+B (Bed and Breakfast).  I went to Big Ben and some other things on a double decker bus, and of course i sat on the top!!! :-) (unfortunately i am doing this blog on a computer so i don't have emoji's) *crying emoji*  Anyway tomorrow we are going to see more and i will post pictures later! :-)

On The Train to New York

I am on the train to the Big Apple (New York) and tomorrow we are going to get on the Queen Mary 2!  I am exited that this is a start to our new adventure but also I dont really want to go so i guess you could say that i have mixed emotions about the trip.  Oh also i just wanted to point out that this blog is way better then my parents blog The Gaskins French Adventure.  So that is all for my first post hope you enjoyed it!! :-)
